    The Post Office

    The Bridge operates as a 'Post Office Local and we employ three part-time staff.  Donald, Fiona and      Tracey. 

   

  1. Stamps, parcels, special deliveries and all kinds of postage

  2. Top up mobile phone

  3. Phone cards for UK and overseas calls.

  4. Cash withdrawals –Post Office and most bank cards can be used.

  5. Gift cards.  Post Office Ltd sells gift cards with a face value of £10 - £400 and those can be spent in a large number of retail outlets.  If you want a present to go in a birthday card a gift card may be the answer

  6. Post Office Credit Card.  Ask for a leaflet and compare the terms with other credit cards.  To apply phone 0800 169 2000.

  7. Insurance through Post Office Ltd it is possible to obtain competitive quotes for home, contents, pet,car,van and holiday insurance. Phone 0800 096 5322 to get a quote without obligation.

  9. Money grams.  A good way of sending money abroad.  Ask at the counter for details.

  10. Special Delivery.  If you make a special delivery please ask for a special envelope to use next time.

  11. Home telephone and broadband  pick up a leaflet and telephone 0800 092 0500 for more details.

  12. Please note we no longer provide foreign currency at The Bridge as this facility has been removed by Post Office Ltd.

  13. Please note we no longer take Parcel Force parcels.

 Bank of Scotland Bridge of Weir closure 1st July what you can do at The Bridge

 You can.:-

  Make cash withdrawals with your bank card limited to £200 or £300 in one day or whatever withdrawal limit       on that card at ATM 

  PO Can process transactions for most banks including Bank of Scotland, Lloyds, Royal Bank of Scotland,       Halifax,    TSB, Clydesdale, Virgin Money, Yorkshire, First Trust and Allied Irish

  Cash can be paid in accompanied by completed paying in book or bank card.  Large amounts of coins should be   counted and bagged ready for weighing, rather than counting again at the PO counter. 

  cheques can be paid in but must be accompanied by a paying in slip and go into an envelope supplied by Post     Office

 Pensions - If you do not have a bank account , I-MOVO withdrawals can be made at the Post Office counter.   Please ask.

 Fuel payments and other payments :  Fuel bills, council tax and other payments can be made in the Post Office     counter provided an invoice is available with a bar code for scanning
